the 90 minute consultation

We will walk through each space to hear your wish list, dream big! This is the time to make it everything you could imagine and more.

  • Space Planning: let’s see how to best use your space - from reconfiguring walls to evaluating furniture layouts to discussing scale of new furnishings + fixtures

  • Palette and Aesthetic; Have you been pinning for months; tagging endless pages in design magazines? If you have ideas of what you like that’s great! If it’s too overwhelming and you can’t determine what is your style, we will have concept images to help talk through some ideas.

  • Budget: Ok, I get it, this is not always the fun part, but super important. We want to best use the funds that are available for this project and stay on budget!

  • Schedule: What is your desired time line for this project?

  • Depending on your design needs, we can loosely discuss schedule to manage deliverable expectations.

1)     Phone Consultation

Each potential project will start with a 20-30 minute I can learn more about you, your family and your project needs. I can answer any questions of yours about the design process, scope, budget, schedule, etc. From there we can see if we are a good match, what design package is right for you, and schedule your paid consultation for the upcoming weeks.

2)     Paid Consultation

To fully understand the project and discuss design needs, this in-person meeting is the first step to identifying problems with the space so we can design the solution. We identify the scope, review existing conditions, discuss design goals and style, as well as budget and schedule. This working appointment will leave you with plentiful design advice that will leave you excited to more the project forward. If we mutually decide we are a good fit, I will email you a Letter of Agreement that fully outlines the scope of work and estimated design hours needed to complete the project.

3)     Schematic Design

Upon receiving sign Letter of Agreement, paid retainer, and an overall budget you want to spend the fun begins! I will start with an appointment to get the space measured and photograph existing conditions. We will schedule our first design meeting 4-6 weeks after this. At the Schematic Design meeting we will present to you our beautiful design!  This includes: Floor plans, Concept Images, Furnishing + Lighting Selections, Cabinet + Counter Top Materials, Fabrics + Finishes, and Estimated Budget. At the end of this meeting we will need to have good direction to what design tweaks need to be made to keep the project momentum.

4)     Design Development

In this phase we will refine the design by drawing up plans and elevations, coordinate the bidding and quoting process with contractors and fabricators as required, finalize furnishing, fabric and finish selections.  This Design Development meeting, pending project scale, will be scheduled 3-6 weeks after the Schematic Design meeting.

5)     Construction Administration and Procurement

Removing the stress and time consuming work load from your plate, we meticulously place all trade furnishing orders, submit payments on your behalf, track orders, and ensure all items are properly delivery to our receiving warehouse. Simultaneously we will meet with various trades and  their showrooms, onsite, or via phone to oversee all construction phases of the project.

6)     Installation

This is the big reveal! Install Day and Demo Day are the most exciting days of the project! This is where all furnishings are delivered, art is hung, accessories are placed, all the finishing touches are made. We love to make this a truly spectacular and magical moment, so we ask you to leave your house for the day so you can return to a brand new home! We will walk your home together to be sure everything meets or exceeds your expectations and note anything that needs to be touched-up.
